Bed & Breakfast Set Up & Run Workshop for Aspiring B&B Hosts

Before you invest thousands of dollars in your B&B start-up, incur a minimal cost and attend a hands-on training experience geared toward the realistic daily operation of a B&B. The workshop focuses on the daily running of a B&B. The “hands-on” learning programme is geared to provide a full range of day-to-day experiences in the operation of a B&B. Workshops are held at Naracoopa Bed & Breakfast an established 4 Star Bed & Breakfast and classes are small, which will provide for greater hands-on training and personal attention. Grace can gear the course to a one day intensive workshop (with condensed sessions) or a two day workshop giving you the experience of staying in a B&B and putting in to practice what you learn.
Participants, whilst observing the operation of my 4 star B&B, will become familiar with the daily routine of running a successful Bed & Breakfast. Aspects covered include;
- What is a B&B and other options; Suitability/You & your Property; People skills; Hospitality
- Planning for your Food Services & Setting Housekeeping Standards
- Front Office Procedures
- Customer Service
- Product & Service Providers; Professional Organizations
- Breakfast Preparations
- Forecasting Your Business Success & Marketing and Promotions
- Advertising: Local, Regional, Web; AAA Star Rating; Branding and Brochure Design
- Networking and personalized consultation geared to your particular set up needs
- A comprehensive 100 page manual is included in the cost, written by Grace Cross and covering in detail all the aspects covered in the workshop.
2 Day Workshops can be run as 2 separate options.
1. As a residential workshop; stay and experience accommodation at Naracoopa for the first night of the workshop including our gourmet breakfast and a dinner at a local Thai Restaurant.
2. As a 2 day visiting workshop (for those participants who live in close proximity.)
Costs for each separate workshop vary and reflect the above options.
Workshops can be delivered on weekdays or weekends with prior bookings that suit the needs of the client/guest as well as occupancy at Naracoopa.
Workshops will only go ahead if there are at least two separate parties registered
2 Day Workshop (no accommodation or dinner included) Costs include:
- Lunch the 1st day and morning teas
- Comprehensive Notes/Manual
- 8 Sessions of comprehensive education and instruction by Grace Cross, B&B owner, educator, artist and writer.
- Statement of Attendance Certificate.
Double/Couple: $530 inclusive; 2 days
Single: $415 inclusive; 2 days
2 Day Workshop (with accommodation) Costs include:
- 1 night accommodation in 4 star B&B, Naracoopa.
- 1 Breakfast, 1 lunch & 1 dinner, 2 Morning Teas, 1 Wine & Cheese afternoon
- Comprehensive Notes/Book, 8 Sessions of comprehensive education and instruction by Grace Cross, B&B owner, educator, artist and writer.
- Statement of Attendance Certificate.
Double/Couple: $715 inclusive; 2 days
Single: $570 inclusive; 2 days
