Naracoopa’s mentoring program is designed to provide aspiring B&B Hosts an opportunity to gain work experience in the business of B&B as a non-residential experience. It is a perfect chance to trial a ‘dream job’ without giving up your regular one.

This ‘mini internship’ will provide the B&B novice a chance to ‘shadow’ a B&B owner in the day to day running of the B&B that will provide prospective B&B owners the necessary skills needed to start their own businesses with success.

Proposed mentoring program could include:

• Afternoon check in of guests – learn the Welcome tour approach and settling in process – 2 hours.
• Learn Front Office and Booking procedures via the net, computer and booking system.
• Set up for breakfast.
• Preparation of breakfast and serving.
• Check out of guests.
• Servicing and cleaning of Rooms.
• Forms of advertising.
• Topics specific to the client’s request (this can be discussed at onset).

This mentoring program is designed for the Aspiring B&B Host to watch the running of particular aspects of a B&B by experienced hosts in an operating B&B, Naracoopa.

Opportunities for questions and discussion will be limited as this is a time to experience the ‘workings’ of a B&B.

• Mentoring Fee is $60/hr.
• One on one approach will be the best opportunity to see how it all works.
• Once the client learns the basics, an opportunity could arise to try running the B&B for a night to really get a feel for it on their own.
