Foreshores, sandbars and natural lagoons full of wildlife, wetland parks, extensive cycling tracks and an abundant variety in birdlife await the cyclist, vigorous walker or leisurely wanderer. The seaside provides a splendid backdrop for Kite Surfing, Fishing, Yachting, Kayaking and spectacular Sailing Regattas throughout the year.

Award winning restaurants, cafes, pubs, and yacht club are all within easy walking distance. Shorncliffe and Sandgate boast a number of Festivals, Bluewater Festival to launch the annual Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race and the Einbunpin Festival to celebrate the lagoons, youth and the community. Boondall Wetlands and the Brisbane Entertainment Centre are a quick 10 minute train ride. The city train, one block away, will whisk you into the city life, shopping, entertainment, galleries and museums. Very easy access to the Gateway Motorway in 5 minutes will get you to the airport quickly and the Sunshine Coast, where you will find the Resort Haven of Noosa or the arts and crafts of Montville and Maleny in 45 minutes.

There is only one Shorncliffe... the peace and ambience creates a place to slow down and unwind in this tranquil setting.

Directions to Naracoopa - By car, we are 20 minutes north of the airport, and 30
minutes north of the city centre. From the airport, take the Gateway Motorway north,
exit at Sandgate exit. Once exited the Highway, turn left onto Depot Road, drive under the Motorway, follow the road through, past the High School on your right and Chinese Temple on the left. You will cross over Sandgate Road. Stay on the same street but it becomes Board Street. Follow Board Street through to a roundabout. The road then becomes Rainbow Street. Follow Rainbow Street through to Sandgate, past the train station on the right and Post Office and village of Sandgate on the left. Rainbow leads to Shorncliffe, at which point becomes Friday Street. Follow Friday Street past the train station on the right. Turn left on to Swan Street and then left again into Yundah Street. Naracoopa is the second house on the left. Note the B&B sign and rather large pink colonial Queenslander. Parking is provided in front of the B&B.

If you like, you may also catch a train from the airport. The station is located directly outside the airport doors. On entry to train, travel about 7 minutes to the Eagle Junction train station. Get off here and walk across the platform to catch the Shorncliffe train line going north. Shorncliffe is the end of the line. so therefore the last stop. Exit the station by turning right and walking through the car park. Walk one block up Swan Street, turn left onto Yundah Street. A train ride will cost approximately $15.00 per person from the airport. A taxi ride to Naracoopa will cost about $55.00.
